Kathy Cano-Murillo
Kathy Cano-Murillo, perhaps better known as the Crafty Chica, is an incredibly talented artist, author, and speaker. Her work is infused with both modern and traditional cultural and social influences and is imbued with a beautiful Latino inspiration. Kathy says her goal is “to spread positivity through creativity.”
Not only does Kathy create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of art (We LOVE her El Pato inspired earrings!) but she is also a highly accomplished writer, having authored 9 books!
Kathy works in a variety of mediums and produces an amazing array of pieces – from custom artwork T-shirts to hand-painted ceramics. Kathy’s appreciation for art, in all its various forms, is simply inspiring. The time she puts into her pieces is evident upon seeing her work and we are so pleased to feature her as June’s #ElPato Artist of the Month.
